March 6, 2021 event: Representation Matters: The Role of Women in International Security

The Carleton chapter for Women in International Security (WIIS) will be hosting a speaker series in partnership with WIIS Queens and WIIS McGill on March 6, 2021 entitled Representation Matters: The Role of Women in International Security with the aim to learn from professional women working in defence and security, academia, and the Canadian Armed Forces. Students will have the opportunity to learn from professionals in the field, and observe discussions regarding diversity and representation in the field of international security. 

 

The speakers are as follows:

  • WIIS-Carleton’s speakers at 1PM - 2:10PM featuring Ritu Banerjee and Marie Calixte-Mckenzie

  • WIIS-McGill’s speakers at 2:20PM-3:30PM featuring Professor Carola Weil and Marie-Joelle Zahar

  • WIIS Queen’s speakers at 3:35PM-4:45PM featuring Second Lieutenant Hannah Hollander and Brigadier General Lise Bourgon
